ACQUISITION PROCESS

1. Evaluation

We are meticulous in our evaluation of new acquisition opportunities and choose quality over quantity. Our basic principle is to be cautious and would rather refrain from a potential deal if we are not convinced of its value, rather than risk a bad investment.

2. Due Diligence

If the acquisition qualifies from the evaluation, we proceed with a due diligence (DD). This involves a more thorough review of the company’s operations. Most of this work is done internally in most cases, i.e. we do not hire external consultants. Our philosophy is to focus on key issues and work according to the materiality principle to offer the smoothest DD possible.

3. Negotiation

After a successful DD process, a negotiation follows between Colere & Co and the seller where we agree on a reasonable arrangement for the both of us. The agreement can then be signed and the deal completed.

4. Integration

Once the deal is completed, work begins to integrate the acquisition into Colere’s ownership structure. This process is at least as important as the deal itself. Already during the acquisition process, we spend time with the company’s management to jointly develop a plan for the future.
